IRYNA KRASOUSKAJA ADDRESSED THE RIGA FORUM

Activist of the Belarusian civil initiative "We Remember" Iryna Krasouskaja spoke today at the international forum "The Future of Democracy Beyond the Baltics." The speech by Mrs. Krasouskaja, wife of the "disappeared" Belarusian businessman and public figure Anatol Krasouski, aroused caused enormous reaction: many participants of the conference heard about the problem of the abducted politicians in Belarus directly from a relative of the missing. Mrs. Krasouskaja pointed out that the involvement of prosecutor general Viktar Sheiman, former minister of Internal Affairs Yuri Sivakou, commander of the Rapid Response squad Zmicer Pawlichenka, and the minister of Internal Affairs Uladzimir Navumau in the abduction crimes is not being investigated. All of them still hold high positions.
